The City of Tacoma's Information Technology Department is currently recruiting for a highly motivated and technically skilled candidate interested in joining our Police Technology Services team. The ideal candidate can demonstrate a history of success as a project resource, enthusiastic ownership of assigned areas of responsibility, and possesses intellectual curiosity and team-centric focus.
Information Technology Analyst, Senior Technical, is the third level of the Information Technology Analyst series; this individual has the experience, knowledge, and training to analyze and respond to a wide variety of issues and situations that are part of a large enterprise multi-domain Windows Server environment. This position is exposed and involved in a wide variety of technical projects and initiatives to improve and harden the technology infrastructure that supports City government.

- Configuration Manager Administration
- Identity and Access Administration
- Group Policy Administration
- SQL Database Administration
- VMWare Administration
- Police Systems Administration such as Axon Evidence.com and Absolute Secure Access
- Project technical resource
- Candidates should have strong technical and analytical skills, as well as, good communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.

Qualifications
Equivalent combination to: Bachelor degree in computer science or related field and five or more years directly related information technology work experience.
Desired: Microsoft Certifications (any) Office365, Azure, Modern Desktop Administrator, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, Database Administrator, VMWare Certifications
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Some positions may require a valid Washington State Driver's License at time of appointment with maintenance thereafter.
Required: Must pass and maintain Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check
Positions assigned to the Tacoma Police Department may require additional background checks which may include fingerprinting and personal history questionnaire.

Other Employment Information
Direct Deposit: Employees are paid on a bi-weekly schedule by direct deposit.
Salary Increases: Based on satisfactory job performance, the City provides for a regular progression of salary increases for most classifications according to the salary schedule.
